Iconoclast -- New Aurora Guide
This guide is maintained by Aeonite Industries, the predominant architectural and construction corporation in in the city of New Aurora; due to the fact that Aeonite Industries has had a hand in almost 80% of all new construction in the city since the year 2087, the maintenance of this guide by the company that knows the city best is clear.
This guide is not a complete listing of all services within the city of New Aurora. Rather, it is a cross-section of some that the writers have felt to be more exceptional than others. There are many businesses that are not featured here. If you know of a business that you feel should appear in this node, please forward your request to Aeonite Industries.
This guide is provided through the cooperation of the New Aurora Division of Public Relations, the Department of Information Retrieval, the Office of the City Manager and the CityCorp Administration Division.
Maintaining good public relations is a key CityCorp priority, and this is the main job of the Division of Public Relations (NAPR). Ensuring the highest standards of good community relations, the NAPR oversees many morale- and confidence-building projects throughout the city, including this node. It is also the point of contact for general questions of public concern, and may be asked to refer problems to other CityCorp agencies.
Statistical and other information at this site was contributed by the Department of Information Retrieval (DIR) The Department of Information Retrieval contributes to the safety of New Aurora by providing a common archive for public service and law enforcement systems. The DIR collects data from the constant flow of traffic through dome networks, as well as other sources. The Department also maintains the core of the AutoJustice system and is a central management point for city pods. Public inquiries about DIR Archives should be directed to the Office of the City Manager.
As the office responsible for city planning, the Office of the City Manager considers and issues licenses for all new construction within the city limits. The office also provides oversight for all other city divisions and can address misuse and corruption issues within the corporate structure.
Its sister office, the CityCorp Administration Division, manages city employees from hire to retirement, and is the first stop on the way to applying for any city position. The Administrative Division is also responsible for applying executive decisions in any case where a problem arises not covered in the charter of any other agency.
New Aurora, Inc. and the City of New Aurora assume no liability for material appearing in this node. All opinions are those of Aeonite Industries and the individual writers. Special thanks also goes out to Samura Kane, Tharis Skylar, Nikki and PsychoDrag Malaska for their assistance in reviewing some of the places featured in this node.
