Iconoclast -- New Aurora -- Transportation
As New Aurora is a pedestrian city, there are few roads within the dome which are accessible to automobile traffic. Ample short- and long-term parking is available outside the dome for a reasonable fee. Personal electric vehicles and other small transports are allowed on most city streets. Personal hovercraft and larger vehicles are restricted to city emergency personnel and those who have presented a need, and all require the appropriate permits. The city also has a single high-speed rail station which enters the city some 100 feet underground, debarking at Nexus Point. (visible in the distance in this picture of the eastern approach to the city)
Outside of the dome, New Aurora is accessible via: high-speed rail (as described above) with six stations terminating outside of the dome; Highways 411, 180 and 223; and Lincoln City International and Salem International airports. For security reasons, no aircraft are permitted to fly within a 1 mile radius sphere around the city's dome, so all direct traffic must be on foot or via a ground vehicle.
