A veteran of World War III, the M6206 Flamethrower was designed to fill the
gap in effective close combat weapons that became evident early in the war.
Spewing a 20 foot (6 meter) long jet of napalm-based flame, the M6206
avoided the explosion problems common to 20th century flamethrowers by
using non-volatile binary chemicals which individually break down if
exposed to air. The sticky burning napalm solution was especially effective
in clearing bunkers and fortified urban positions.
Though all flamethrowers of this series were ordered to be destroyed after
the war was over, wartime logistics problems, missing stockpiles, and units
taken by foreign countries equaled lost accountability for thousands of
M6206 Flamethrowers. Invetiably, many of those would wind up in private and
mercenary hands.

The M3 Tactical Grenade Launcher is made to accept any Americorp-made
standard grenade (M244-M315 series grenades) and launch it up to 1640 feet
(500m). A computerized sight calculates trajectory for accurate ranging. The
grenade can be set to detonate at a certain distance, on a time delay, by
manual remote detonation, or on impact.
An M21 Launcher Mod Kit is needed for each grenade; the M21 snaps onto the
grenade to give it fold-out fins, an impact/ranged fuse, and propellent. The
kit costs the military or police unit approximately C35 per unit, and is
seperate from the cost of the launcher. The M21 will not arm the grenade
until it travels more than 50 feet (15m) away from the point of launch.
Proximity sensors in the kit will disarm grenades that come to rest any
closer, though an override function exists for this option.

Using a variety of chemical agents to produce their effects, the Americorp
military has developed a number of grenades which are also in service among
the police and militaries of nations and citystates that are
friendly-aligned. Similar types are used throughout the world.
Americorp grenades use standard bodies with different color coding and
texture for rapid identification.
A listing of more common grenades with an explanation of effect follows:
M288/M300 Fragmentation - C7000-10000 With a 15 foot (1.6 m) blast
radius, this grenade produces a powerful blast with a fragmentation
pattern. Based on military test results, an average 75% of personnel in
the effect radius will be killed. The M288 detonates on impact, while
the M300 detones on a 5-second delay. Damage Modifier: x50
M289 HE - C13000-20000 Creating a high-explosive blast with an effective
radius of 15 feet (1.6m), the M289 is designed to destroy vehicles and
structures. The grenade is, of course, also effective against personnel.
Damage Modifier: x80
M290 Anti-Barricade/Ferret, Liquid - C9000-13000 This grenade disperses
a powerful corrosive over a 10 foot (3 meter) radius, designed to eat
away doors, barricades, or other obstacles. The agent works very
rapidly, melting away up to 50 cubic feet (1.5 cubic meters) of material
in under six seconds before oxidizing and decomposing into water and
common atmospheric gasses.
M293 Riot Gas - C4500-8000 The M293 Riot Gas grenade generates a cloud
of irritant gas for one minute, combining several different agents to
produce immediate effect. The gas takes effect on contact with mucous
membranes, the eyes, or when inhaled, and is neutralized by the wear of
a gas mask or other type of chemical screening device. The cloud will
vary depending on wind and the space employed, but in the open without
wind it will generate a cloud of gas of approximately 400 cubic yards
(300 cubic meters). Effects last for 15 minutes to 3 hours depending on
the individual, and include stinging, watering of the eyes, excessive
mucous production, coughing, and a sensation of choking.
M294 Knockout Gas -C6500-11000- Similar in concentration and area of
effect to the M293 Riot Gas grenade, the M294 produces gas that renders
those exposed unconcious for 20-30 minutes.
M296 Flashbang/M297 Concussion -C3000-6000- Creating a loud explosion
and a bright flash, but little to no destructive effect, the M296 is
designed as a distraction device for police and military tactical teams.
Disorienting those in close proximity and drawing the attention of those
nearby, the grenade creates a few crucial seconds to take the
initiative. The M297 goes a step further, creating a short, concussive
shockwave that can stun for over a minute, though the wave may also
cause minor injuries or break glass if the detonation is too close
(weapon multiplier x1). Both are intended to be non-lethal.
M301 Incendiary -C7000-10000- Containing an amount of highly flammable
chemical, this grenade's detonation produces a momentary explosion of
flame peaking at 5,000-plus degrees. The chemicals are also dispersed by
the explosion over a 5 foot (1.5m) radius, and burn at over 1,000
degrees for up to 15 seconds.
M312 Baton -C5000-8000- Another non-lethal weapon, this grenade is
designed to subdue opponents by bursting into a cluster of approximately
35 rubber pellets dispersed at high velocity toward a 15 foot (4.6m)
radius. The pellets are propelled at high enough velocity that they
leave welts and may break exposed skin, though no lasting or serious
injury will usually result. Effects range from extreme pain to
unconciousness depending on proximity to the blast and location of
pellet hits.
M315-Series Foam -C6000-12000- These foam-spreading grenades are
manufactured by Tauron, Inc., the same company that makes the M411A1
Suppressive Foam Dispenser. On detonation, the grenades spread either
sticky (M315A), slippery (M315B), or hard (M315C-M315F) foam over a
roughly 15 foot (4.6m) radius circle. As with the dispenser, a special
non-toxic solvent will break down the foam.
