Worn like any other gloves, Stungloves combine the natural ease of hand
movement with a powerful electrical stunning effect. Upon a strike's impact,
high-voltage current is sent through the gloves' fingers and palms. The
effect produced from a single Stunglove touch on bare skin will immediately
send most opponents to the floor unconscious. A casual touch will not
initiate a charge- only a hard blow will activate the discharge of voltage.
Multiple, rapidly- spaced charges may cause permanent damage to an
individual or induce shock which could potentially lead to death.
The gloves have a small power pack that attaches to belts, harnesses, packs,
or other load bearing equipment. The pack will produce between 25-30 charges
before being unable to produce an effective stunning charge. It will produce
5-10 pain-causing charges after that before being completely ineffective.
The rechargeable power pack can be charged in four hours.

This forearm-length baton is balanced for quick strikes. Upon contact, the
weapon delivers an intense, high-voltage jolt to the target. Most subjects
are instantly disabled, experiencing loss of effective motor control for
several seconds. Other subjects may actually be rendered unconscious,
especially goth- related genotypes. Only a tiny fraction of subjects are
able to resist ill effects. Insulative clothing can inhibit the Joltstick's
effectiveness, but the voltage is usually still effective.
The joltstick can deliver about twenty-five strikes before the rechargeable
energy cell is depleted. The cell takes about six hours to recharge using
the self-contained adapter.
Use of stun weapons on the elderly or those with heart conditions can cause
a fatality.

Marketed by FrontLine Defense Technology for personal protection, this
weapon consists of a tube of chemicals which are secreted from several pores
along the length of the shaft when the trigger is depressed. Upon coming
into contact with flesh, the chemicals bond with the hair and skin of the
victim and supercool the surrounding tissue to near absolute zero, resulting
in severe frostbite and eventual tissue death. While current medical
technology can easily repair such a superficial wound, the resulting pain is
excrutiating.
The readily identifiable (and copyrighted) cyan-colored Frostwand is more
respected than stinging-spray deterrents as a personal protective deterrent.
The chemical is therefore banned by many authorities because of potential
misuse. However, police often ignore possession violations in many places if
the owner keeps a Frostwand responsibly.
