One glance at the M-50 tells you the weapon is as advanced as present
technology will allow. The perfect ergonomic curves of the stock are covered
in a cameleon-like covering that blend exactly into its surroundings at the
press of a button. A folding actuated bipod is linked to the sighting
assembly, a forward sloping device with no visible optics. A magazine well
is settled neatly in the stock just behind the pistol grip that mounts the
trigger, and a link port is inset above it.
Built around the mighty 21mm Hi-Power cartridge, a caseless cartridge with
practically ideal ballistic characteristics for sniping applications, the
M-50's nanotechnology-refined barrel can predictably place rounds at less
than .00001 MOA (minute of angle) at 1000 meters.
This pinpoint accuracy is combined with nearly perfect balance and ergonomic
stock contours. That alone would make for an extremely comfortable shooting
configuration, but the M-50 is more than just a big gun with a better scope.
Built from scratch to accept a smartlink, the M-50 has revolutionary
environmental sensors that passively measure air density, movement, and
humidity along the entire projected trajectory of the round. They can also
detect thermal differences along several different spectrums, and "lock"
onto targets within close proximity of the impact point.
A neural feedback system actually cancels out the shooter's own involuntary
muscle movements and directs fine motor movement to keep the gun on target
in combination with a servo-driven bipod. Using all these systems in
concert, the rifle provides exact sighting out to the weapon's maximum
range.
The gun also factors in field craft, and is almost entirely covered with an
advanced CamoFlex(tm) coating that blends in exactly with its surroundings
at the press of a button or on command over the link. The sensors and
sighting system have no visible optics since they are entirely digital, and
are contoured to the shape of the rifle.
The culmination of centuries of military firearms development, this rifle is
